Bexley Public Library will close at 6pm on Wednesday, November 27th and will remain closed on Thursday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
Join us for Ta-Nehisi Coates, National Book Award-winning writer as he discusses his extensive literary career, including titles Between the World and Me and Marvel’s Black Panther comics series.
Ta-Nehisi Coates, a National Book Award-winning writer and former national correspondent for “The Atlantic,” will discuss his literary career, which includes the publication of Between the World and Me as well as The Water Dancer, The Beautiful Struggle, We Were Eight Years in Power, plus many entries in Marvel’s Black Panther and Captain America comics series. Coates will appear in conversation with Sophia Fifner, president and CEO of the Columbus Metropolitan Club.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
