Creation Station

Our Creation Station is a public space designed to capture your creativity. It has a widely diverse set of high-tech and low-tech tools to help you reach your creative goals.

AVAILABLE RESOURCES
iMac Desktop Computer
There is one iMac desktop available for patron use during their reservation. It runs the MacOS and has Microsoft Office, the Adobe Suite, Garage Band and other applications installed. The computer is equipped with a webcam. This computer is meant to help patrons with creative endeavors and should not be used for web browsing.
Sewing Machine
A Pfaff Smart 100S sewing machine with a limited amount of supplies is available for patrons to use.
Cricut Maker 3
The Cricut Maker 3 is a computer-controlled cutting machine, designed for home crafters to complete a wide variety of projects. The Cirucit is available with a number of tools as well as a limited amount of supplies.
MIDI Keyboard & Microphone
A M-Audio Keystation 49 MK3 MIDI Keyboard is available to patrons as well as an Audio-Technica ATR-2100 microphone to help patrons create, record and complete music projects.
Camera
A Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera is available for patron use when they are reserving the Creation Station. There is also a photo box, tripod and ring light that can be used to aid in taking photos. Please note that the camera is for use while in the Creation Station and should not be removed from the room.
Photo Box
Qulable Photo Studio Box (20 cm) is available for patrons to shoot professional photos of small items on 6 different color backgrounds.
Creation Station Use Policy
  • Patrons must follow the Patron Code of Conduct
  • Patrons must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult
  • The Creation Station is a self-run space. Staff may be able to support you or your project if they are available.
  • The Creation Station is available to be reserved for one four-hour interval per day. 
  • Creation Station reservations will be given a 15 minute grace period after their reservation time, after which the room again becomes available. Rooms left vacant for 15 minutes will be considered forfeited and belongings removed to the lost and found.
  • Groups must vacate the room 15 minutes before the library closes and are responsible for clean-up and returning the room to its original setup.  Please be aware of the time: creating and scanning/converting are time intensive processes.
  • Damaging library property, or other destructive or inappropriate behavior will result in loss of the meeting rooms and/or library privileges, as determined by the supervisor.
  • The BPL Patron Code of Conduct applies and must be observed while using the rooms.
  • By reserving our auditorium or study rooms, you are agreeing to our Meeting Room & Workspace Policy.
