Bexley Public Library is pleased to offer free notarization
services to patrons on a by-appointment basis.

Scheduling

Appointments are scheduled during open library hours, based on notary availability. The library cannot guarantee notary availability at all times. To schedule an appointment, email notary@bexleylibrary.org or call 614-231-2793. Appointments are encouraged, but not required. 
 Notaries reserve the right to decline services.

What to Bring

Valid, current government-issued photo identification. Valid forms of ID include a driver’s license, state issued ID, military ID, or passport.
Unsigned documents requiring notarization. Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary, and the signer(s) must be present for a signature to be notarized.
If witnesses are necessary, please try to bring your own, with valid, current government-issued photo identification.

Additional Information

Library notaries provide basic services only, such as witnessing signatures. They are available for individual use only, not for businesses. Notaries are not able to provide legal advice or assist in the preparation of legal forms. Notaries are also not responsible for replacement titles. 

Notary Service is not available for the following: 

• Real estate transactions
• Documents requiring financial certification/authentication
• Documents that require an electronic signature
• Corporate or Business documents
• Depositions
• I-9 forms
