Adult Volunteering @ BPL

Volunteers are key to a vibrant library. Bexley Public Library volunteers help in areas such as material assistance, programming, and local history. A full position description is available below. Our teen volunteer program is currently full. If you would like to join our teen volunteer email list and be notified about future volunteer opportuntities, please email teen@bexleylibrary.org. Applications for summer volunteering will open April 1.

Teen Volunteering @ BPL

Do you love working with kids? Sharing your love of reading or need service hours? Then, you should become a summer teen volunteer! From May 30-August 1, sign families up for Summer Community Read, hand out prizes, and assist with our summer programs. Teens must be at least 12 years old or entering grades 7-12 in the upcoming 2025-2026 school year to volunteer.

Application deadline is June 3. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. If accepted, volunteers must attend ONE of the following mandatory orientation dates listed below and turn in a code of conduct form before they can start volunteering.

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION DATES:

Thursday, May 22 from 4:30-6:00 PM
Wednesday, May 28 from 6:30-8:00 PM
Friday, June 6 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Monday, July 7 from 1:00-2:30 PM

Board of Trustees

Bexley Public Library

The public is hereby notified that a position on the volunteer Board of Trustees of the Bexley Public Library will become available on January 1, 2025. This position will be to fulfill the remaining term for a resigning board member whose service expires on December 31, 2025.

Responses should be submitted no later than noon, local time, Monday, October 28, 2024. Responses can be emailed to board@bexleylibrary.org, or mailed to Bexley Public Library, 2411 E.
