Join us to learn about the benefits of sustainable transit and an exciting effort to improve transportation in Columbus, including in Bexley! LinkUS Columbus is led by the City of Columbus, COTA, MORPC, and Franklin County to help address the challenges that face our growing region, like managing traffic congestion, ensuring equitable access to jobs, housing, promoting economic growth, and improving sustainability. It has the potential to be a complete mobility system along key regional corridors, including high capacity and advanced rapid transit, technology solutions, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and development.
Find out more about the East-West Corridors project, which includes Bexley and other adjoining east side neighborhoods. OSU Geography professor Harvey Miller will show us why sustainable transportation is critical to our future, and COTA's Kim Sharp and Aslyne Rodrigues will give a LinkUS Columbus update, and share opportunities for community input and feedback.
Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
