Please Note: Bexley Public Library will be closed on Sunday, April 20th in observance of Easter
Bexley Public Library is excited to announce the second round of the Bexley Century Home markers, a program dedicated to honoring the rich history and distinctive architecture of our community. In collaboration with the Bexley Historical Society and with generous financial support from the Bexley Women's Club Fund at Bexley Community Foundation, additional Bexley Century Home signs are being distributed to homeowners of properties built in 1925 or earlier.
Launched in August of 2023, the Bexley Century Home Marker Project was introduced as a way to celebrate Bexley’s architectural heritage and to recognize homes that have stood the test of time. Since then, more than 250 Century Home markers have been awarded to homes across the city, highlighting the historical significance of these residences.
If your home was built by 1925 or older, and you would like a marker to display in your front yard, please contact us at localhistory@bexleylibrary.org.
Eligible homes will receive a sign, which can be picked up at Bexley Public Library during regular business hours or delivered. We’ll also be distributing the signs at various community events. Participants will also have their address listed in a registry of Bexley Century Homes.
