Percival Everett

A celebrated American author, Percival Everett has profoundly shaped contemporary literature with his thought-provoking works on race, identity, and the human experience. His contributions were most recently recognized with one of literature’s highest honors—the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his groundbreaking novel James. A recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award, Everett’s work continues to captivate and challenge readers. In James, he reimagines Jim from Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, placing the focus on Jim’s journey and the complexities of his life beyond what Twain originally portrayed.

Please join us in support of this unique opportunity to engage with one of the most important voices in modern literature.
