Co-curator Dr. George Johnson presents on the current Decorative Arts Center of Ohio exhibit, "A Storybook Christmas Featuring a Very Brady Holiday." Reminisce about classic holiday storybooks & toys.
Co-curator Dr. George Johnson will present on classic Christmas storybooks from the past 150 years as well as iconic toys, gifts, and costumes from the popular Brady Bunch TV series and movies. Dr. Johnson will explore pieces from the current Decorative Arts Center of Ohio exhibition, "A Storybook Christmas Featuring a Very Brady Holiday," which invites guests to step into the pages of classic Christmas storybooks like The Night Before Christmas, Polar Express, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas while exploring the iconic toys, costumes, and props from The Brady Bunch holiday episodes. "A Storybook Christmas Featuring a Very Brady Holiday" will be on exhibit at the historic Reese-Peters House from November 2 through December 31, 2022. Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
