Please note: The Bexley Public Library will close today, April 2nd, at 3:30pm due to the impending inclement weather.
Marty Ross-Dolen leads this reading and writing workshop where you will learn to use the tools of creative nonfiction to transform your personal stories into meaningful pieces of memoir.
You don’t have to be an English major or a bestselling author to develop the skills to create a writing practice that enriches your life and makes sense of your past. Join us for this informative and interactive workshop where you will learn to use the writing tools of creative nonfiction to reimagine your personal stories and transform them into meaningful pieces of memoir. During our time together, we will read samples of published work and take part in a writing exercise or two ourselves. The library will provide paper and pens, but feel free to bring your own writing tools if you would prefer.
Marty Ross-Dolen, MD, is a retired psychiatrist and received her MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her writing focus is creative nonfiction, and she has recently completed her own book-length memoir.
