Celebrate National Voter Registration Day 2024 with a local "What's On The Ballot?" panel discussion. Bring your questions about local issues. In collaboration with the Bexley Chamber of Commerce, Bexley City Schools, COTA, and Citizens Not Politicians. Speakers include Ted Cahill, Bexley School Levy Chair; Pat King, Bexley School Board Member; Kelsey Ellingsen, COTA’s Director of Local Government Affairs; and Michael Ahern, Citizens Not Politicians Committee Member.

Kelsey Ellingsen (COTA) is the Director of Local Government Affairs at the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), an organization serving a region of more than 1.3 million people. As a dedicated member of the Central Ohio community, experienced in the local civic and public policy landscape, Kelsey plays a critical role in driving COTA’s priorities forward through advocacy and
partnerships with valued community stakeholders and elected officials.
Kelsey has a long history of serving Central Ohio, previously working as a legislative aide at Columbus City Council, serving in public policy roles for the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Department of Education, as well as working on campaigns for the Ohio Democratic Party, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, We Are Ohio, and more.
Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from The Ohio State University. She is also a 2024 graduate of Leadership Columbus and the President-elect of The Ohio State University John Glenn College of Public Affairs Alumni Association.
Michael Ahern (Citizens Not Politicians) is a resident and registered voter from Blacklick Ohio; he is unaffiliated with any political party. Michael began his involvement in redistricting reform in late 2016 and has testified numerous times before the Ohio Redistricting Commission and state legislature regarding redistricting efforts under the current Ohio redistricting rules. Michael was a member of the committee to obtain the initial 1,000 valid signatures in support of the Citizens Not Politicians ballot measure (Issue 1) and has gathered signatures to get Issue 1 on the ballot on November 5, 2024.

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and first housed in Bexley High School, now Montrose Elementary School. The present building opened in 1929 and was designed by architects O.C. Miller and R.R. Reeves who drew upon French and Italian architecture from the 17th century for the design.
The library is located at 2411 East Main Street, at the intersection of East Main Street and Cassady Avenue. Parking is available in our parking lot on Euclaire Avenue and in front of the library on Main Street. Main Street is a No Parking Tow Zone from 4:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
