When is Curbside Service Available?
Monday through Thursday, 10-7pm | Friday & Saturday, 10-6pm
How does it work?
Place your holds online at https://www.bexleylibrary.org/ or over the phone at 614-231-2793.
You will receive hold notifications by phone, email, or text when your items are ready for pick-up. Your items will be on hold for 10 days.
Drive to the BPL parking lot and select a numbered parking space. Those on foot are welcome to come to the library’s auditorium door.
Call the number on the sign to let staff know you are there to pick up your items.
Staff will ask for your library card number and other select information to confirm your account.
We will come to you -- please do not approach staff members. We will deposit your items into your popped trunk, or passenger window.

How do I return items? Can I return items from other libraries?
Please place ALL returns in our outside drop box in the BPL parking lot.
Staff will not accept materials handed to them.
Yes, we are accepting items from other CLC libraries.
If you or a member of your household is ill, please do not return items at this time. Bexley Public Library is a fine free library, so anything checked out at our library will not be fined.
I’ve returned my items. Why are my books still on my account?
In accordance with guidelines established by the CDC, all returned library materials will be quarantined for at least 96 hours to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus Returned items may not be removed from accounts for at least 96 hours.
Your check out limits have been automatically increased to accommodate this extended processing time.
Bexley Public Library is a fine-free library, so anything checked out at our library will not be fined. For items belonging to other CLC member libraries that time may vary.
I don't know if my curbside pickup is ready. What should I do?
You can check your library account online here: MY ACCOUNT and items that are ready for pickup will say "held." You can also call us at 614-231-2793
Do I need to have an existing hold available for pickup to use curbside service?
Yes, if you are able, please reserve your library materials by placing a hold through our website, app, or by calling us at 614-231-2793.
You will be notified through either phone or email when your holds are ready for pick up, so please check your account and make sure you are receiving library notifications through email or phone.
Do I need a car to pick up library materials?
We are also offering walk-up service. Items will be placed outside on our front patio by the auditorium doors.
As with curbside, we will run your items out to you once you’ve arrived at the library and rung the doorbell on the patio, or called 614-231-2793.
I need to print out a document. Can you help with that?
Yes! We are offering print pickup with our curbside service.
